Eric Pulier was raised in Teaneck New Jersey, and he was a young man that loved working with computers. When he was in the fourth grade, he began to program computers, and he was able to start his own computer company when he was in high school. Pulier worked at the Hartford Crimson as an editor, and he graduated magna cum laude in 1988.

The company was unique, because it used technology in all of its business affairs. Even though this is something that is very well known and often done now, at the time it was very innovative and unheard-of. In 1984, he founded Digital Evolution. Digital Evolution had great success, and it later went on to merge with US Interactive LLC.
Eric Pulier wanted to be able to help chronically ill children. He created Starbright World. This is a private social network that was created specifically for these children. When these chronically ill kids go on this website, they can blog and chat with other young ones who are going through the very same experience.

Pulier is a donor to many different organizations that are nonprofit, and he is on the charity board at the Xprize Foundation. The Xprize foundation is a foundation that competes to solve the greatest challenges of humankind. Pulier also volunteers with The Painted Turtle. The Painted Turtle is a camp for kids with critical diseases.
